🚨NEW SHOW ALERT🚨
New Orleans hip-hop artist Baby Boy Da Prince — best known for his 2007 Billboard Hot 100 radio smash (and more recent viral sensation) “The Way I Live” keeps the ND-Miami football weekend going on Friday, November 11th at 8P, with special guest Danny Mac!

Lawrence Cennett — aka Baby Boy Da Prince — was a central component to the New Orleans iconic rap/hip-hop movement borne out of his home city in the mid/late-00s. As major players like Lil Wayne and Juvenile led the way, younger acts like Baby Boy Da Prince followed suit, with one of 2007’s biggest breakout hits, the Billboard Hot 100 smash “The Way I Live.” The track’s relaxed, “lazy” hook became an anthem for the post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding city, hitting number one locally and prompting Universal Republic to sign him for a major national distribution deal. In that timeframe, he also toured as support for 50 Cent, Juvenile and Paul Wall.

🚨NEW SHOW ALERT🚨
Anyone who partied with us and Willi Carlisle when he performed at Stockroom in 2024 knows this is a triumphant return! We’re starting our 2027 season with the fullest force as Willi graces our stage again on Sunday, January 24th at 7pm! Tix available at link in bio.

Willi Carlisle is an acclaimed American folk singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet, and theater artist known for blending traditional Ozark folklore with punk rock sensibilities. Born on the Midwestern plains of Kansas and raised in a musical family, he later relocated to Arkansas, which deeply influenced his musical style.

With a heavy-duty catalog of new material for a career first double album, The Universal Bubba marks a half dozen releases for folksinger Willi Carlisle and reaches new heights with the added accelerant of first time producer Tyler Childers. In an all-time DIY effort, Childers and his band convened to a makeshift home studio nestled in the Bywater District of New Orleans for two weeks to cut 17 tracks that expand Carlisle’s sonic scrapbook and capture the off-kilter characters living in his songs.
