México ganó la CSIO5* Nations Cup en la Piazza di Siena ante Alemania en el desempate — y 48 horas después, un equipo completamente diferente de jinetes mexicanos ganó el $75,000 CSIO4* Nations Cup del Odlum Brown BC Open en Thunderbird Show Park. El último en lograrlo fue Irlanda en 2023.

Mexico claimed the CSIO5* Nations Cup at Piazza di Siena against Germany in the jump-off — and 48 hours later a completely different squad of Mexican riders won the $75,000 CSIO4* Nations Cup at the Odlum Brown BC Open at Thunderbird Show Park. The last team to achieve this was Ireland in 2023.

La última vez que México ganó la Copa de Naciones en la Piazza di Siena fue en 1948 — el mismo año en que tres de sus jinetes ganaron el oro olímpico. Esta tarde, 78 años después, el equipo azteca volvió a escribir su nombre en el palco de honor del concurso más icónico de Italia.
En el desempate contra Alemania, con Richard Vogel derribando el último obstáculo, Patricio Pasquel entró al ring sabiendo que una vuelta limpia significaba la historia. Y la hizo.

The last time Mexico won the Nations Cup at Piazza di Siena was in 1948 — the same year three of their riders won Olympic gold. This afternoon, 78 years later, the Mexican team wrote their name back into the roll of honour of Italy'’ most iconic show jumping venue.
In the jump-off against Germany, with Richard Vogel knocking the final fence, Patricio Pasquel entered the ring knowing one clear round meant history. And he delivered.
