You can help secure the financial stability of the America250 in Somers by contributing to our Field of Flags Campaign. The cost per flag is $30 or $100 for four (4) flags. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor a veteran, family member, or friend, while also supporting America250 in Somers.

The Field of Flags will be displayed at Congregational Church of Somersville Community Green at the intersection of Route 190 and Maple Street from Memorial Day through Independence Day.

The Somers America250 Planning Committee is excited to announce the tentative schedule of events for the August 15th Somers America250 Celebration at Field Road Park!

12:00 – 12:15 p.m. – Opening Ceremony at the Main Stage

12:30 – 1:30 p.m. – Procession and Concert by Connecticut Valley Field Music at the Main Stage

1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Family & Children’s Activities throughout Field Road Park

1:30 – 2:00 p.m. – Children’s Concert by Christian Loftus at the Spartans Stage

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Performance by Tom Callinan, Connecticut’s first “Official State Troubadour,” at the Main Stage

3:00 – 3:30 p.m. – Children’s Performance by Magician TBD at the Spartans Stage

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Concert by Dave & AJ Acoustic from the band Shovelhead at the Main Stage

5:00 – 6:00 p.m. – Concert by Blood Brothers Band at the Main Stage

6:15 p.m. – Flyover by the United States Air Force

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Concert by The Savage Brothers Band at the Main Stage

8:15 p.m. – National Anthem, sung by Theresa Kate of Somers, at the Main Stage

8:30 p.m. – Drone Show by SkyElements Drone Shows, sponsored by USA Waste & Recycling

9:00 p.m. - Closing

Somers America250 is planning a great day of music, for all ages, as part of our town's day-long celebration on Saturday, August 15th!

Join us for John Carlson, "Mr. Magico", performing at the Spartans Stage at 3:00 p.m.!

John Carlson the magician aka Mr. Magico has been performing magic shows for over twenty-five years. Every show that John performs includes magic, ventriloquism, comedy, mind reading, audience participation, music, the magical appearance of a live bunny rabbit, and more! Each magic show is uniquely customized for the ages of the audience whether they are 2 or 92.

Join us for Christian Loftus, "Mr. Lobster", performing at the Spartans Stage at 1:30 p.m.!

Mr. Lobster is Christian Loftus, an elementary music teacher and songwriter from Manchester, CT. Mr. Lobster concerts are engaging and fun. Every song has an interactive element; everybody's in the band! Mr. Lobster music is written specifically for ages 3-9, but intended to be enjoyed by everyone.
