Sneads Ferry Community Theatre

Sneads Ferry Community Theatre As of January 1, 2022, the Sneads Ferry Community Theatre is suspended.

The stage lights came up on the Sneads Ferry Community Theatre’s first
production, Nuptials, in March of 2002. Nourished by an incredible pool of
local talent, lovingly tended by a growing community of dedicated volunteers
and led by organizing director, Julia Eller, that tiny seedling has sprouted into
a robust outlet for the performing arts. At the end of 2008, seventeen stage
plays, seven Reade

rs Theatres and several special productions had
entertained crowds and provided a venue for actors, directors, and behind-
the-scenes personnel to express their creative talents. Through cooperation
with the Sneads Ferry Community Council, the theatre is able to fulfill its
mission to entertain and enrich our community by providing quality theatre.

The next Community Council Meeting is October 18th @ 7:00 PM. This meeting will be dedicated to the nomination of officers. The volunteer nomination committee is searching for qualified candidates to serve on the Council for 2022. We will accept committee nominations on Oct 18th from committee and any nominations from the floor on Nov 8th. Voting will also take place on November 8th, according to our bylaws. The bylaws specify that the Board of Directors (representatives of external organizations that are part of the Council) and the Board of Directors will be provided paper ballots to cast votes for all nominations received. The ballot will be tallied during that meeting by independent members in attendance.
After the nomination of officers the Executive board (incoming) will appoint chairmanships for Supporting Committees (Theatre, Shrimp Festival, Christmas in the Ferry, Shrimp Scamper, Community Cares, Membership).
If you wish to be considered for any position please contact the nomination committee or the existing Executive Council members. Please remember these are all volunteer positions which operate under the guidelines defined in our bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. The next Community Council Meeting is October 11th @ 7:00 PM. This meeting will be dedicated to the nomination of officers.
