Here are the current golf rankings as we head into the winter months. 2025 Cooper's Lake Open Champion and 2025 Cooper's Lake Golf POY, Bob Ellenberger, maintains his control of #1 in the rankings. Vic Homa remains #2 but gains ground on the top spot. Xander Downing is the biggest mover among the top 10, going from #8 to #3, courtesy of his successful title defense at the Championship. Tom Metcalf ( #4), after a 3rd place finish, leapfrog's Ralph Nardulli ( #5). Aiden Sanders, after a runner-up finish at the Championship, jumps all the way from #20 to just outside of the top 10 at #11. Any of the top 6 golfers in the rankings could all conceivably take over the top spot with a win at the first golf tournament in 2026.

Congratulations to Bob Ellenberger, our 2025 Cooper's Lake Golf "Player of the Year!" Bob won the Open, had a 2-1 record at this year's Cider Cup and finished with the most points in 2025, in a close race against Vic Homa and Ralph Nardulli.

The 2025 Cooper's Lake Championship is in the books! Xander Downing of Butler, PA successfully defended his title with an Even par round of 72 on the East Field Blue course! His round included 5 birdies, the last of which, coming on the 18th green to win the tournament by 1-stroke over Aiden Sanders, who became the first player in Cooper's Lake golf history to record two eagles in the same round! Xander joins elite company with Jeff Tracy and Josh Short, as the only 3 golfers to successfully defend a title at Cooper's Lake. Tom Metcalf finished 3rd with a career-best round of 75. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the final golf tournament of the year!

Final preparations are being made for tomorrow's Cooper's Lake Championship. The rough has been cut all the way down and many of the tees have been moved up to encourage low scores. It's the final golf tournament of the year and the race for Player of the Year is razor-thin. Who will take home the Campers' Cup?

Another Cider Cup is in the books! The Blue Team, captained by Ralph Nardulli, defeated the Red Team, captained by John Austin, by a final score of 7 1/2 to 3 1/2. The Red team took a 2-1 lead after the morning Fourball session, but the Blue team stormed back, winning the Alternate Shot session 2 1/2 to 1/2 to take a 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 lead. After a dominating 4-1 performance in the Singles session, the Blue team captured the cup for the third time in four years. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the event!

Here's the updated Cooper's Lake Golf Rankings. Bob Ellenberger maintains the top spot after his 5th place finish at last weekend's Cooper's Lake Classic. Vic Homa vaults all the way up to 2nd in the rankings after his victory, while Ralph Nardulli also moves up quite a few spots into 3rd in the rankings, courtesy of a runner-up finish at the Classic. Tom Metcalf and Sam Bevington round out the Top 5. There are no ranking points available at this weekend's Cider Cup, so we will have to wait until the Cooper's Lake Championship on October 18th to see who will take the top spot into 2026.

This past weekend, we held the 2025 Cooper's Lake Classic on a very dry and bouncy East Field (Blue) Course. Vic Homa convincingly captured his first title at Cooper's Lake, after a sizzling 76, which included 4 birdies. It's Vic's lowest career round and his 9-stroke victory is the largest margin of victory in a tournament since Tim Chavez won the 2022 Classic by 9-strokes. Congratulations, Vic! Hope to see everyone at the Cider Cup this coming Saturday!
