As I wrap up everything from this years tournament I really want to thank everyone who participated, helped out and attended the event. Everyone who knew my dad knew his health was not great the last few years leading up to his passing and I spent a lot of time taking care of him, taking him to doctors appointments, making sure he had what he needed etc. When he passed it was a lot of “what now” and there were a lot of mixed emotions with not having anything to take care of or worry about anymore and this tournament has in a way filled that hole that was left in my heart. I didn’t think an event could mean so much to me and for lack of better words become a “replacement” for my dad.
I want to thank every team who played, all the guys who helped ump, my sister for taking the photos Ariana Johnston Photography , the people who offered help with anything I needed, the people who kept me sane as much as they could throughout the day, my friends who stayed and hung out, the guys who played on my team, our vendors bodiens hot dogs and k6, all of the sponsors who are mostly family and good friends, my amazing family who help each year and as always Chad who started this 3 years ago.
My brothers and I will always been grateful for the people in our lives who make this happen and the support we get every single year to help keep our dad’s memory alive. He would be beside himself to know that we have so much love and friendship surrounding us and so many people honor him each year.
Thank you 🤍
