www.peninsulacenturyfallchallenge.com. A bicycle ride featuring the most scenic routes in Door County Door County's premier bicycle ride Sept. 18, 2021.

Great food at 6 themed rest stops, beautiful routes, and an amazing post-ride meal from Thyme Cuisine and One Barrel Brewing Co. The Peninsula Century features routes of 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles through the rolling hills and past the incredible water views of Northern Door County. With a grand roll-out start in Sister Bay from the village's new Waterfront Park, riders will start within walking distance of the area's best lodging. The ride is capped at 1,000 riders to ensure a safe experience for cyclists and motorists in year one. Participants will finish back at Waterfront Park, where they'll enjoy post-ride festivities, including an incredible post-ride buffet from local chefs on the waterfront, soaking in the Sister Bay sunset just steps from bars, restaurants and shopping. This Peninsula Century is presented by Door County Living magazine.

The Peninsula Century Fall Challenge Ride weekend has arrived! 🚴‍♀️🚴

START TIMES:
100 Mile Ride – 7 am
Metric Century Ride – 7 am
50 Mile Ride – 8 am
25 Mile Ride – 9 am

We strongly advise that all riders start as close to the posted times as possible to ensure access to all aid stations, food, and perks of the event, especially riders who expect to average less than 14 miles per hour for the ride.

➡️ On-Site Registration: Available Friday evening and Saturday morning during rider check-in.

A little inspiration for your Friday feed. 👏

A few days ago, the two ladies on the ends, age 84 & 86, stopped by the Visitors Center & asked our Membership Coordinator, Vickie Bartolini, where she suggested they ride.

Vicki sent them up Garrett Bay Road & then Cottage Road up here in Ellison Bay. They returned to the Visitors Center after about 10 miles, which was only the first part of the total distance they would put in for the day—typically 20 to 30 miles!

These friends of almost 50 years are very committed to their athletic lifestyle. One fell off her bike last year, landing her in the hospital then rehab for six weeks, but still continued to ride, & the woman on the right still skiis black diamond!

We can all hope to be like these inspirational duo as we get older. Despite their obstacles, they certainly aren’t slowing down any time soon!
