Sioux Falls Easter Egg Hunt

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the Big Sioux Chapter Guardians of the Children annual Easter Egg Hunt is canceled for this year.

We are very saddened by this.

We hope to bring the hunt back next year.

Join us This Saturday!
The 5th Annual Sioux Falls Easter Egg Hunt
is Saturday, April 8th at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds
THE EVENT IS FROM NOON TO 5:00PM
Egg Hunt Times
4yrs and under at 1:00pm
5 to 8 yr old at 1:45pm
9 to 12 yr old at 2:30pm

There were some complications last year, but we have a better plan for this year that will eliminate this problem from even being a possibility. We will still do different age groups (so small kids are not competing with a 12 yr old) but we'll do all of the egg hunts in the exact same place.... one...

There were some complications on the two older age groups. We apologize to those who didn't get candy or prizes. These two age groups NEVER officially started. Sadly, some thought they heard "go" when in fact it was a mother telling her young son "no" when he tried to grab an egg. One thing lead to another and within about 30 seconds all of the eggs for these two groups were gone!

We have a better plan for next year that will eliminate this problem from even being possible.

We will still do three different age groups (5 and under are not competing with a 12 yr old) but we will do all three egg hunts in the exact same place.... one after another. When the first is completely done, we will reset the same area for the next age group. In addition to this, we plan to have a perimeter marked out with paint on the grass (to make that very clear)
