Just wanted to post a quick note to let you all know that this years Prestonstock donation blew all the prior years completely out of the water! We were able to donate a total of $7,787.81 to Mike Meinen and Jentri Meinen. In case you missed the story, their lil guy, Eastyn had recently fallen out of a tree onto a concrete driveway, and was life flighted to Children's with a brain hemorrhage and broken wrist. As you can see from the pics, he's a trooper (and looks pretty cool with a cast,) but between the helicopter ride and all the medical tests, they are going to have some major medical bills and we're more than glad to be able to help with that! Love you guys!!
HUGE shoutout to some of you that made major donations this year!! (I know I'm going to miss some, so I apologize in advance, but that is kind of a crazy busy weekend, lol.)
~Steve and Brenda Bradley for their $1,000 donation.
~ Moody and Brandon Moody for their $250 venmo donation (and they didn't even get to come to the tourney this year.)
~Josh and Cathy Grimsley for their $200 venmo donation.
~ Bailey for umpiring all weekend long (15 games) and donating all $300 of his umpire fees.
~1st Place Comp Winners - Worship and Praise Mari Jo Massanet - donated $450 of their winnings back.
~2nd Place Comp Winners - Heroe's/Berserk Mara Folkers - donated $200 of their winnings back.
~3rd Place Comp Winners - Mother Heffers Carly Nielsen - donated $300 of their winnings back.
We also donated ALL of the money from the HR wristbands, tshirt sales, raffle tix, donation buckets, and all the tourney proceeds leftover from entry fees.
All in all, it was another successful year that would not be possible without ALL of you! I want to thank Lacy Rae Richards and Leathen Richards for gathering the majority of the donation items/running the brackets/everything you did that weekend, Amie Jacobson and Chase Jacobson for running the head table/selling HR bands/stickering bats/etc, and of course Rita Powell for spending the entire weekend at the ballpark with us and running a stellar concession stand! You guys are the ones that make this all work and we could NOT do it without all of you!!
