11th Annual Erv Whitford Memorial Tournament The Erv Whitford Memorial Tourney is a tournament for 3-8th grade boys and girls. The Ervin C. This tournament is in memory of Mr.

Whitford Foundation, in partnership with Silver Grove Independent Schools, are hosting The Erv Whitford Memorial Invitational Tournament. Ervin Whitford who dedicated his life to the children of Silver Grove. He was a role-model and mentor to countless children and made a difference in many lives. His passion was teaching young kids the love of the game of basketball and in turn, he taught them many life lessons including respect. In his honor, we hold this tournament so that we can continue his mission for these children.
