We wanted to share an update on the Erin Duncan memorial scholarships and say thank you for the incredible support that continues to honor her legacy.
I recently visited Connors State College to review the endowment scholarship funds established in her memory. To date, $10,995 has been awarded through investment income from the endowment to help students continue their education and pursue their goals.
She also has a memorial scholarship at Elkins High School, where as of this year $20,000 has been awarded. These funds were generously donated by The Schmieding Foundation and will expire this year.
However, because of the continued support from her annual Memorial Barrel Race, along with additional donations from family, friends, and our community, we are grateful to share that the Elkins scholarship will continue for at least four more years.
It means so much to us to see her memory live on by helping students from both her high school and the rodeo college she loved. Thank you to everyone who has supported these scholarships, attended the barrel race, donated, and helped us continue honoring our daughter in such a meaningful way.
