✨ TONIGHT TONIGHT TONIGHT! ✨
Our 8th annual Dashing Through Downtown Parade of Lights is rolling through Historic Downtown Sikeston Friday, December 5th at 7pm… and you’re not going to want to miss it.

Before the parade, join us in Legion Park at 6pm for the City’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony inside Santa’s Village. This year’s honorary tree lighter is downtown merchant and Personal Expressions owner Brooke Buchanan.

Please read the following information for parade WATCHERS and parade ENTRIES as this should answer any and all questions you may have regarding the event:

🎄 PARADE WATCHERS
The parade begins promptly at 7pm and follows this route:
North St & Kingshighway → West to N Stoddard → East across W Center → North on Kingshighway → West onto Front St → Ending at St. Francis Xavier School.
Please stay on the sidewalks, as no vehicles will be allowed to park on the parade route. Corners get tight, so give floats plenty of room. And bundle up. It is going to be cold-cold out there.

🎄 FLOAT ENTRIES
Lineup opens at 12pm (noon) at the Post Office entrance on North St. All floats must be in place by 6:15pm.
Please DO NOT park in the Post Office lot. Once the street fills, continue wrapping around Kingshighway and down Lake Street. Do NOT continue from Kingshighway to Tanner - once that bit of street is full from Kingshighway to Lake, begin lining up on Lake. Be sure not to block any driveways.

A few reminders:
• No large animals permitted
• No live Santas allowed on floats
• No theme required — just LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS
• Music must be kid-appropriate/family friendly
• Candy may be handed out only — no throwing from floats

Grab your blankets, grab your family, and come enjoy a cozy night downtown as we kick off the holiday season. ❄️🎅🎄
