Sigourney Tri In July

To our participants,

We regret to inform you that yet again this year the Tri in July Sigourney Sprint Triathlon will be canceled. Our hope was to transition the management of the event into new hands but that will need delayed until 2019. Please don't forget us!

This July our town has been privileged to be an overnight stop for RAGBRAI. If you happen to pedal through Sigourney on RAGBRAI I am sure you will see some of the same Tri in July volunteers helping out.

Due to an unexpected event this July the triathlon will be canceled for 2017.

Thank you for participating in our triathlon this morning. Great job! Due to numerous race day entries, we ran out of shirts. We are willing to put in another order for shirts, if you can pick them up in person. The pick up locations include: Heartland Home Care in Oskaloosa, Heartland Home Care in Iowa City or Strobel's Inc in Sigourney.

If you are interested in a shirt and can pick it up, please provide the following:
1. Your name
2. Your shirt size
3. Pick up location

A helmet and some pink Nike shoes were left in the park shelter.

Rain or shine, we'll see you tomorrow morning! Only in the case of severe weather or lightning would the event be canceled.

We will be posting the results to our website hopefully this Sunday. Congratulations to all the participants for swimming, biking and running their way through a sprint triathlon! That’s an accomplishment! BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers and sponsors. We could not put this race on without your support. I hope all the participants enjoyed the race. See you all next year on July 11th, 2015.
