Our team is proudly strutting together to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, because this cause touches so many lives in our community. Whether we are running, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, we are united by one mission — to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer, and help fund the research and support programs that bring hope to families everywhere.

The Flamingo 5K was created to bring our community together in a fun, uplifting way while making a real difference. Flamingos stand strong together in a flock, and that spirit perfectly represents what this team is all about — community, resilience, and support. Every step we take and every dollar raised helps fuel lifesaving research, patient programs, and local resources for those battling breast cancer.

Many of us are participating in honor of loved ones who have fought this disease, those currently in the fight, and the incredible survivors who inspire us every day. Their strength is our motivation.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, donations help the American Cancer Society continue critical research, provide free rides to treatment, offer lodging for patients traveling for care, and deliver life-changing support to families who need it most.

Together, we are more than just a team — we are a flock standing up against breast cancer.

We’re proudly flocking together with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer as the beneficiary of our Flamingo 5K! 🦩✨

Join us this Saturday at Benderson Park as the My Favorite Race Events team walks to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones, and raise funds to help end breast cancer once and for all. 💪💞

Countdown to RACE DAY Flock!!!

Advanced Packet Pick Up
Friday October 10th, 3pm-6pm
•At Mellow Mushroom Sarasota, inside the restaurant.
•Packet pick up is super easy, just know your first and last name 😊 And if you are picking up for friends, know their first and last names as well.

Race Morning Schedules, Packet Pick Up & Registration
Saturday October 11th, 6:30am-7:45am
•Race Morning Packet Pick-Up from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on-site at the Sea Turtle Pavillion of Siesta Key Beach.
•Parking lots D & E are the closet lots to the pavilion. A map is attached to help.
•National Anthem will be held at 7:43am, at the Start Line.
•The Start Line is on the Beach at the Red Life Guard Tower.
•The 5K and the Walk, start at exactly 8am. We ask that the Walkers be towards to back of the pack to allow the runner to take off safely. This is on the sand; strollers are at your discretion. This is a no dogs event.
•Awards ceremony will be around 9:15 a.m.
•There will be a bagel bar, and plenty of beverages at the After Party at the Sea Turtle Pavillion.

Race packets not picked up by the end of packet pick up will forfeited. You may swap your unworn race shirt for the available sizes at the After Party. If you opted for "No Shirt" and saved $5 but would like a shirt and your size becomes available, a shirt can be purchased for $5. There will also be other MFRE Swag available for purchase.
