SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT regarding the next chapter of our Wednesday night Family Feud style trivia night!

Starting Wednesday, June 24th at 6:30pm, the Native Game Night Universe is welcome to continue the Family Feud style fun at our new home - Doc’s Watering Hole, located at 1959 S Frontage Road in Sierra Vista.

Over ten and a half years. Over twenty percent of my life. Countless hours with innumerable friends. The end of an era.

When Leya and I walked into Native Grill and Wings on Wednesday, November 4th, 2015, to host the first Native Game Night, we had no idea of the massive blessing in store for us, or how long it would last.

But through the vision of the Native owners and staff, along with the endless support of the Native Game Night Universe, we changed the game of what a “local trivia night” could be. It literally became a worldwide phenomenon, as the Native certificate made it to all seven continents for photos and videos, thanks to the incomparable Native Game Night Universe.

And as this chapter came to a close tonight, over three dozen teams were in it to win it one last time. Thank you to everyone who was there tonight to share one last Native Game Night. And for the record, the thumbnail photo is the final Native Game Night championship team, “Talk Nerdy To Me,” with 72 points.

It’s an honor to be invited each year by our local school district to share a message with graduating seniors.

Tonight, nearly three dozen teams came to play Arizona’s #1 trivia night, Native Game Night and it was a wonderful evening with our family known as the Native Game Night Universe! But with all those teams, only a handful would leave as champions! Be sure to swipe through and see all of tonight’s winners! 🏆 🎉

Some of tonight’s teams were wildcard winners thanks to our Wildcard Sponsor, the Sierra Vista Sunrise Rotary Club!

They ask you to mark your calendar for their 14th annual Rising Sun Run, which will be Saturday, November 7th! The event consists of a half marathon, a 5K, and a fun run.

The Sunrise Rotary Club uses the proceeds from the Rising Sun Run to award vocational scholarships, leadership and professional skills development programs for area students, and funding their community service projects.

And if you aren’t able to run in the event this November, please consider volunteering. They are looking for help with set up and tear down, cheering on the runners, manning intersections and water stations, and being course marshals on the Ramsey Canyon portion of the half marathon.
