Howdy Miner’s!
First and foremost Erin and I would like to simply say “THANK YOU” for attending our shows this summer and for being a significant reason that the shows were so much fun. Thank you for your support, positive feedback and constructive suggestions regarding your collective Music at the Mine experiences.

Should you be lamenting the end of this summer’s concert season, you have the opportunity to attend yet one last show before fall fully consumes the landscape.

Music at the Mine alums, ISLAND OF BLACK AND WHITE, will be performing at the Sierra Pines Resort “meadow”!
- Sunday afternoon, August 31st from 3:00 to 5:30 PM. (Gates at 2:00 PM and music at 3:00)
- Admission is $25.
- You are welcome and encouraged to bring your lawn chairs and picnic fare.
- As always, free freshly popped popcorn will be available, as well as reasonably priced beer and wine.

*Located in Sierra City, the “meadow” is directly across the street from the resort and is five or so acres of lush green grass and fully shaded by a half dozen towering pines.

The Island of Black and White will be performing as a trio and you will be blown away with the richness and fullness of their sound. Having produced shows in Sierra City for the past ten years, I consider the Island of B&W to be among the top five shows I have had the pleasure of producing. Folks, this is a top tier, “feel good” rock band that is drenched in soulful, musical bliss.

Hey, it’s Labor Day weekend, Monday is a holiday, and it will be a truly joyous Sunday afternoon.

Info available by calling or emailing Chris Stockdale @ (530) 277-6408, [email protected].

We've been having fun evenings at the Kentucky Mine and Museum Amphitheater!
But have you visited the Mine during the daytime?!

It is such a fascinating, well preserved relic of our gold mining past (thanks to Sierra County California Historical Society!) that is so unique to this area!

Come for one of the tours given at 11am and 2pm by knowledgeable docents and you'll get to see old gold mining equipment that is still OPERATIONAL!!! It is even cooler than is sounds and the mine is actually "cool" so it's a great spot to visit on a hot day.

The Kentucky Mine and Museum is open daily throughout the summer from 10am-4pm with tours of the mine @ 11am/2pm.

Pro-tip: Bring your lunch!
There is a wonderful picnic area nestled into the pine trees with a view of the surrounding mountains.
