UPDATE: She has found a wonderful loving home!❤️

This sweet little girl is the last of her litter still looking for a home.

A mama cat showed up at our office and gave birth to 4 sweet kittens. Tragically, she passed away shortly after, leaving these babies with no one to care for them. We stepped in to feed and love them, and thankfully all of her brothers and sisters have found homes.

Now this precious girl is the only one left waiting for her forever family. 🐾 She is roughly 6-8 weeks old and eating soft food! She deserves a safe, loving home where she’ll never have to feel alone again.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our Maintenance Director, Don Carlisle.

Don dedicated more than 30 years of service to the State Fair of Louisiana. He was more than just a coworker — he was a friend to everyone on our grounds, a mentor to many, and a true part of the State Fair family. His hard work, wisdom, and presence will never be forgotten.

We are deeply heartbroken by this loss and ask that you keep Don’s family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Services for Don will be held Saturday, May 23rd at 12:00 PM at Stonewall Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana, next to Salem Baptist Church.

We will miss you.❤️

We truly cannot say thank you enough for the overwhelming support shown for our VERY FIRST Fairground Finds event!

To every vendor, customer, promoter, advertiser, food concessionaire, maintenance crew member, and supporter who helped make this event possible — THANK YOU. From the people who came to sell, to the crowds who came out to shop and support local, this event exceeded anything we could have imagined for year one.

Seeing the fairgrounds filled with people, shopping, food, and excitement was something really special for our team. This event would not have been possible without every single person involved behind the scenes and out on the grounds.

We’ve heard all of your comments and excitement about making Fairground Finds a recurring event 👀🛍️

We are almost completely set up for Fairground Finds, and now all we’re waiting for is SATURDAY! 👀🛍️

Customers — make plans to come shop, eat, explore, and support local because you do NOT want to miss this event. From unique finds and great deals to your favorite fair foods, there’s going to be something for everyone!
