Be Part of Something Special: Volunteer and Help Support the Mel West Family Anthony Marangon The City of Show Low
This Labor Day Weekend, September 4–6, we will gather once again for Show Low's 2nd Annual Pickle in the Pines Pickleball Tournament. What started as a pickleball tournament has become something much bigger. A celebration of community, friendship, and coming together to support one another.
This year, the event carries special meaning. A portion of the tournament proceeds will be donated to the family of Mel West in honor of his memory and the positive impact he had on so many lives throughout the White Mountains community. Mel was a familiar face, a friend to many, and someone who genuinely cared about the people around him. He will be deeply missed.
To make this event possible, we're looking for volunteers to join our team. Whether you can help for a few hours or several days, your time and support will help create an unforgettable experience for players, spectators, sponsors, and our community.
As a volunteer, we'll take good care of you with coffee and donuts each morning, snacks and refreshments throughout the day, volunteer appreciation gifts, and plenty of gratitude.
Most importantly, you'll be helping create an event that brings people together while supporting a family that is hurting and honoring someone who meant so much to our community.
Last year, our volunteers were the heart of this tournament. This year, we're hoping to make an even greater impact—and we'd love for you to be part of it.
