It is a sad day for Cut To the Chase Film Festival. Co-directors Natoma Vargason and Bill Veldran have decided to cease all production of the festival. We have faced many challenges over the past six years, primarily in the areas of logistics, staffing and funding. With the recent loss of venues, those challenges have now become insurmountable.
We would like to take this time to thank some very important people who have made this festival a great ride.
First, without the amazing work of Jay Jones, our film reel would not look as professional as it did. His tireless efforts were instrumental to our success and he never let us down!
Our talented trophy artisans, Bradley Sanders and Scott Cawood. They both created custom trophies that were unique to Cut To The Chase!
Vante Velte delivered all those great teasers as well as an award-winning film.
Our sponsors:
The Nora Roberts Foundation has provided our festival with the funds needed to bring it to life each and every year.
ParaMounts Artifact & Exhibit Specialists, Thanks Nancey you have supported us from day one in many ways.
Domestic - thanks Doug!
Blue Moon Cafe, Thanks Mary Beth, we had many working lunches there and you always had a big smile for us
Grapes and Grains - kudos to Cheryl Gallery!
Rob Loosey and Ritamarie Schmidt for those amazing cocktails from The Bloomery,
Rich Raposa of Jefferson Distributing for all that beer!
NOMAD EventSystems, Matt was out great AV guy!
To all our film makers and judges. Without you we would be nowhere. Keep making great films; keep honing your craft! Tell your stories and never give up! When you make it to the Oscars, remember us when you are thanking people as you raise that trophy! And never forget that the trophy you won at Cut To The Chase Film Festival is a one off! Finally, thanks to everyone who came out and supported the festival.
