Rotary Pavilion at the Shelton Riverwalk
1:00PM – 5:00PM We will be following CDC guidelines. No kids or dogs allowed.

Hoptoberfest will be holding it annual festival on Saturday, September 11th from 1PM - 5PM. Ticket holders can expect to receive a tasting cup, large sampling of beer, food and live 80's music from ThePopRocksCT! Must be 21 or older to enter. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be invested back into our local community.

Out of an aboundance of caution, we've decided to cancel this years event to help protect the communities we serve. Anyone that purchased tickets will receive a full refund. Thank you in advance for your understanding and hope to see you next year!!

After further review and our concerns the Board Members took a vote yesterday and made a sad decision to postpone Hoptoberfest event on September 11, 2021 until next year. :(

Hello Hoptoberfestivarians: Hoptoberfest for 2020 will not be held this September due to Covid -19 Social distancing requirements. The Rotary Club of Derby-Shelton thank you for your past support. We plan to resume Hoptoberfest when the conditions allow. thnk you for your understanding.

Our Story

The festival is put on by the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club through The Derby-Shelton Rotary Foundation (a 501c(3) non-profit) and all proceeds raised will go back to the Derby and Shelton Communities based on the needs of our charitable partners. Since 2013, we have raised close to $80,000, allowing us to help fund valuable programs. Such as, Sponsor A Kid Program at the Boys and Girls Club in Shelton, to fill the Valley United Way food bank, to support the Parent Child Research Center in Derby, to promote literacy programs in Derby and Shelton Public Schools, along with other worthwhile projects in the Valley. Your help and participation in this event is critical to its success. Participants can expect wings from different restaurants (including the Dew Drop Inn), over 80 craft beers to sample and live music. Entry will also include a commemorative tasting cup.

Special Notes: Must be 21 or older to enter. Maximum ticket sales will be capped at 1,500 to ensure enough wings and beer for all. Please get your tickets early so you don't miss out!!
