Reporting live from Tuesday Creek...

We're ecstatic to announce that New Lexington legend Mike Boley will perform at our Grand (re)Opening and the first showing of "Live From Tuesday Creek," an original variety show featuring lots of local musicians and historical vignettes that celebrate the Little Cities of Black Diamonds region.

Come see Mike and other local musicians this Saturday, June 6th at 7:30 p.m.! Tickets for "Live From Tuesday Creek" are on sale now at tecumsehtheater.org/lftc. Tickets can also be purchased in person the night of the show.

Yesterday, we got to check out our new Tecumseh Theater merchandise, which includes hats (with our new and former logo), drink koozies, and shirts! We also looked at artwork to to display around the theater.

We can't wait to welcome you back in the Tecumseh Theater this Saturday! Our historic opera house is shining brighter than ever with brand-new theater lighting installed just in time for the Tecumseh Theater's Grand (re)Opening this Saturday, June 6!

The final photo, taken by Roman Wilshanetsky in 2010, shows just how far this restoration journey has come. After decades of preservation work, we can't wait to welcome our community back into this historic space.

Earlier this year, we had to paint over the original design of our historic proscenium arch. While preserving the theater for future generations, we knew it was important to honor the craftsmanship that made this space so special.

That's when local muralist Keith Wilde stepped in. Keith created a stunning new design to frame our stage that pays tribute to the theater's history.

The Tecumseh Theater has looked a little different over the past few weeks as we prepare for our Grand (re)Opening this Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Our Open House last week was a blast! It was wonderful hearing guests share memories of the theater and reflect on just how much has changed over the decades. Every improvement made to this historic space is an effort to honor those who have loved and supported the theater throughout its history while ensuring it remains a gathering place for future generations.

A huge thank you to Nicolas Billingsley for providing live music during the event and to everyone who stopped by to tour the theater and celebrate this exciting new chapter with us.

As part of this variety show, audiences will experience historical vignettes, performances by local musicians, and an original play inspired by the imagined region of Tuesday Creek.

Our cast includes Emily Bartholic, Hunter Allen, Emma Clement, Jude Seurkamp, and Kenneth Bowald. We're thrilled to have these talented performers helping bring this special story to life on the newly restored Tecumseh Theater stage.
