πI have some last minute thanks to issue before we start onward and upward towards next year's event. Firstly, the City of Shasta Lake and the Shasta Lake Chamber I appreciate you working with Me to make sure the event even happens, I'm not an event planner. I'm just a Karate guy who ran with an idea his little Girl gave him. I'm still learning all the ins and out of how things of this size and scope are feasible. It's not like there is a book or someone to ask for help, nobody has done this. I'm writing the book as we go. So, thank you and I hope we can continue this relationship until I'm unable to keep doing this as well as with whomever succeeds me.
Now, all the people who bought and paid for all the balloons. Thank you, to those who made big donations big thank you. I know things are rough out here, so all your help is greatly appreciated. I know I missed some larger Donators towards the end; things were getting hectic. The Dean Family, The Lego Family, Rodney, Libby, Glenn, Gnarly, and all the kids. Them Hardy Boys, The Ibarra's Jacob and Paige, Sara and Niko, Ann Ramsay, Carl Malone, Samuel C. Williams, Attorney at Law Thank you for all your contributions.
Next Anderson's Irrigation Repair for handling all the water. Filling that many balloons is a daunting task and the three spickets at the park are not enough, they for years now have been making sure we get all the water we need, imagine what they can do for your home or office. π
The Berlet, Olson and Tyson Families thank you for making sure our little kids play area was stocked with lots of stuff for the Littles to play.
MVV (Most valuable volunteer) This award goes to Will Sojor this guy was first one to show up bright and early and worked all day. He was a huge help and him and his Lady have already told me they are looking forward to coming back next year. Thank you Will.
Clean-up crews, To everyone who helped pick up there at the end, The Walker Family, again Them Hardy Boys, again Will, and the Austyn family for coming back later and doing a final once over. Thank you, Things are in the works to modify the final clean, but it's reassuring to know all you are always there to clean up the mess we make.
To The Billy Show thank you for always giving us a few moments of your time. I always get positive feedback from the community about our conversations. KRCR News Channel 7 someone in a restaurant stopped me and told me they seen Harrismas on the news. I called and emailed you, let's get a before spot and send someone during again, pretty please. π
Lastly Thank you everyone who showed up. This is a crazy and difficult thing to do but seeing the expressions on all of your faces, young and old, all walks of life putting aside their whatever's to just take a few minutes and have fun, that is something I will not live without, I think the world needs it.
So Happy Harrismas, I'm already working on next year and as always have a ton of ideas and thoughts on what I can do better. If you want to support Harrismas 2027, the website is already set up to start taking donations for next year. Our goal is 10k. We can do this, together.
