What an awesome, sunny and HOT weekend of baseball at the SYBA Complex!

12 teams, split between 2 divisions (10u/12u) battled it out for the championships!

There was high drama on the diamond all weekend, with the 12u championship game going to the Highlander Youth Sports team from Edinboro, PA over Sharpsville.

The 10u bracket was full of early round upsets, and was eventually won by #2 seeded Sharpsville over a tough and talented #1 Seeded Slippery Rock squad.

Thanks to everyone who came to play, watch, vend, and support our league!

We held our annual “Red, White & Blue Devil Bash” 8u tournament at the SYBA Complex over the past weekend! We welcomed 9 teams for a weekend of great baseball!

After the dust settled, it was Neshannock 8u walking off the championship game in the bottom of the 6th over Lakeview by the score 13-12! Congrats to both teams on an epic Championship game!!

The Home Run Derby competition did not disappoint, with balls leaving the yard left & right! 30+ contestants battled it out for the title and a custom Wooden Trophy bat from South Hill Bats! In the end it was Sharpsville’s own Drew Barabas who won with 6 home runs! Congrats Moonshot!

We also raffled off a “Pencil” wooden bat by SHB, which was pulled during the championship game. Congrats to Harrison DeJulia for winning!

Thanks to all 9 teams who spent the weekend with us!

Next up is our “Red, White & Blue Devil Bash” for the 10u & 12u all star teams, beginning Friday night down at the complex. 12 teams are coming in during this holiday weekend to spend it playing America’s PastTime! We encourage all to come and watch some great baseball this weekend! Best of luck to all of the teams!

It is that time of year again! SYBA is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Red, White & Blue Devil Bash again for the 3rd year in a row!

We will run it over 2 weekends.

8u will be on Saturday/Sunday June 28-29 and the
10/12u tournament will be run on Saturday/Sunday July 6-7th.

I have posted links below. As always: we are a community based organization, therefore we will only be allowing single community/league teams into the tournament. (No multi-community travel organizations).

Congrats to Hermitage Heat’s Carlo Manganello for winning the Home Run Derby this weekend, in a swing off for the ages with teammate and friend Conlin Songer. Well done! These kiddos can RAKE!!!

That’s a wrap on another SYBA baseball tournament! Over the weekend we 125 baseball players from 10 teams, representing 9 communities, from 2 states...all came together in "little" Sharpsville to play a game they love. All in all, there were 19 games played, 72 game balls used and countless “web gems” made on all 3 of our fields!

At the end of the tourney, one team remained. Congrats to Slippery Rock Area Baseball Association’s 8u all stars for winning the championship in an epic battle with rival Grove City Area Little League!

Thanks for everyone who came out and spent the weekend with us in the ‘Ville!
