2026 Cattledog Finals Judge Nominations

Bob Allen

Bob was a farrier for 50 years retired now. He started trialing cattle as a novice in 2015 and moved in to the open a few months after. He has won eight national cattle championships five open and three reserves.

Started open sheep trialing 2018 and made the semi finals. Every year since he’s made the double finals. He’s Qualified for the World trial three times twice with two dogs. He would like to judge the cattle finals because that is where he started.

2026 Cattledog Finals Judge Nominations

Justin Barrett

Justin has been around stock dogs his entire life, first competing in a cattle trial at the Tulsa State Fair when he was just 12 years old. Over the years, he has traveled across the country to compete in and judge trials. He has run in the Nursery Sheepdog Finals and serves as the longtime president of his local stockdog organization, the Oklahoma Stockdog Association (OSDA).

He is also a founding member of Barrett Mountain Border Collies, where he and his family train and trial stock dogs for themselves and for the public. In addition, he is the co-host of the Stock Dog Philosophies Podcast, where the Barrett family works to promote the working stock dog.

Justin is a graduate of Tulsa Community College, where he earned a degree in Veterinary Technology. He currently serves as the lead technician at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where he has worked for nearly a decade. He has been married to his wife, Ashleigh, for nine years and is the father of two girls, Alexandria and Gwendolyn.

2026 Cattledog Finals Judge Nominations

Chris Timmons

Began his career with working dogs at the age of 14, competing in his first cattledog trial. By age 20, he became and ASCA judge and went on to judge trials across the United States for the next 20 years. In 1984,

Chris founded Wind Walker Kennels, where he trained bird dogs and stockdogs for the public. While training bird dogs, he also trialed in Shoot to Retrieve and the Texas Shooting Dog Horseback Association. He has trained dogs continuously since that time and has achieved success at both state and national levels in numerous organizations, including ASCA, NCA, MSSA, the Southwest Cattledog Association, Rodear America and most recently TSDA and USBCHA.

Chris is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science. He is currently ranching a portion of land that has been in his family since the 1930’s, continuing a multi-generational tradition

Centered on livestock, working dogs and practical stockmanship. Chris has been married to his wife, Christine, for 41 years. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
