Kickoff to festivities begin Friday May 1st with the Carnival opening at Mannel Park. Then Saturday at 9 AM with a concert in downtown Shafter by Banda Arenal de Guanajuato. On behalf of the Shafter Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, Cinco de Mayo Committee, we wish to extend a special invitation and warm welcome to the entire community in joining us for a unique and fun celebration on Saturday,

The downtown parade will begin at 10:00 AM. No entry fees are required for the parade or for entry to the festival. A day of music, dancers, children's rides, arts, crafts, information, and various activities will be available;
along with great food booths and a mini carnival for the kids. Festivities will continue throughout the day. Bring your family and friends. Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious foods, as well as local and professional entertainment. All proceeds go back to put on this spectacular event. Our committee also provides scholarships to deserving students at Shafter High School. We extend a special THANK YOU to our sponsors.
