Hello everyone! It's show time!! Just wanted to go over a few rules so that no one is caught off guard.

1. Trailer drop off begins on THURSDAY AT NOON, not Wednesday. We will be putting people in spots until dark. After that, you will be asked to wait in a holding pattern until Friday morning.

2. Have gate fee or ticket (if returning) out and ready before arriving. Exact change will speed up the process for everyone and help prevent back ups.

3. No traffic allowed "up the hill" until after 3 pm both days for pick ups. Other arrangements will need to be made if pick ups are earlier.

4. Do not stop or park in the middle of the roadway going up or down the hill for said pick ups.

5. Be respectful of those around you.

6. Absolutely NO vending until Friday morning. NADA, NONE, ZILCH, ZERO, Don't even ask!

7. Concessions will be open at 6AM for breakfast with lunch to follow.

8. The area is currently under a burn ban due to dry conditions. No fires are allowed.

We would like to remind everyone that we do not do advanced registration. You pay at the gate the day that you arrive. We have had so many hackers trying to get people to prepay that it has gotten ridiculous. Spread the word.

After much thought and consideration the Dixie family has decided to make all of the shows 2 day shows. The format for the Spring and Fall show will now follow the same time frame as the December show. Thursdays will now be trailer drop of day, beginning at noon. Set-up and spectator admission begin at 6AM on Friday. Hours will be 6AM to 5PM both days.

Many of the long time colllectors remember my Dad, Happy, as the man at the gate.The newer collectors knew him from going in his train museum. But Dixie wouldnt be the show it is now if it weren't for his dedication, riding with me to all the shows, handing out flyers, and talking to everyone. He always enjoyed talking about either the show or about his trains.The Dixie family is is saddened to announce that he went home to be with Lord Monday, December 15th, around 330 P.M.

It's almost show time!! Just a few notes to pass along. If arriving on Thursday to drop a trailer, please do so after 12 noon and before 6pm (dark). We will not be putting anyone into spots after dark. Also, due to cold temperatures and weather expected on Friday (subject to change, this is East TN), we ask everyone to refrain from arriving on Friday morning before 6AM. None of us need pneumonia. Dress warm and we will see you all soon!!
