DON'T I LOOK LIKE I'M HAVING A GREAT TIME?

Weather looks perfect for the Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering. High's in the low 70's and not a cloud anywhere on the radar. One note for campers: The low tonight is going to be in the upper 40's so bring something warm to snuggle up in. Gates open at 8, close at 6. Bikes to be judged for the Concours d'Possum need to be registered and on the show field by 10 on Saturday.

EAST TENNESSEE'S BEST BARBECUE!!

Food will be available at the Possum Gathering, meals provided by Preacher's Smokehouse in Pittman Center, Tenn. This one of those little hidden gems that the locals cherish but has also been visited by quite a few celebrities! Their barbeque is the best in the area, hands down. They're bringing their food truck to the Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11. Try their ribs before they run out! It's some gooood eatin'.

Also, A Little Coffee will be back with their award winning brews and pastries to wake you up in the morning.

THE TROPHIES HAVE ARRIVED!

Awards for People's Choice and the Best of Show for the 2024 Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering have arrived. These unique trophies have been donated by the awarded metal sculptor Fabio DeLorme whose works are recognized and featured throughout the Southeast. Each is an original steel piece, one representing a classic European single road racer and the other an American flat tracker from the fifties.

In addition, plaques will be awarded to the Top 20 motorcycles on the showgrounds on Saturday, May 11 in the Concours d'Possum competition. Come join the fun at the Sevier County fairgrounds, Sevierville, Tenn. Gates open Friday and Saturday at 8 a.m.

Gomer's weather forecast for the Possum Gathering.

Gomer says there'll be some showers on Thursday, set up day for vendors and exhibitors if they're ready. Friday starts to clear, partly sunny with a high in the upper 60's. Saturday looks perfect!

YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD TO HAVE A HAPPY CHILDHOOD!

Indulge your advanced adolescence at the Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering IV. Bring your old bikes and parts to sell, come to root through another guy's pile of parts, admire a lot of bikes you had or wish you had, or just to show off your own toys.. It opens Friday, May 10 with the Concours D'Possum show and judging on May 11. There are still swap meet/campsites available starting at $35 for the weekend. Vendors and exhibitors can set up beginning the afternoon of the 9th.

OUR RIVERFRONT SITES CAN ACCOMODATE MORE THAN THIS!

We've had a couple of cancellations on riverfront sites for the Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering IV. Our normal swapmeet/campsites are 20' X 20'. The riverfront sites are a minimum of 20 X 40, plus you've got a view; perfect for pulling your tow vehicle and trailer straight in and never unhooking. Riverfront sites are $45 for the weekend, interior sites are $35.

ANOTHER GREAT VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE SHOW!

Coming this weekend on Saturday, THE MELTDOWN vintage motorcycle show will be held in scenic Hendersonville, N.C. This is put on by a group of true vintage bikers, the 'Ton Up' Motorcycle Club where members are required to do the "ton up" (British for 100 mph) on their old machines. These guys are the real deal with Vincents, Triumphs, Beezers, and others in their stables. Google their page for more information.

2024 T-SHIRTS ARE BEING PRINTED!!

This is the design for the 2024 Possum Gathering IV. The order is initially limited to 100 shirts in varying sizes printed on a high quality soft shirt. The price is $25 a shirt with XXL and ###L shirts $28. (The increase reflects my cost.) Odd sizes , S, XXL, ###L, and larger are either very limited or special order only. Let me know if you need a special size or want one shipped. Shipping cost is $6.00.

I'LL SHOW YOU MINE IF YOU'LL SHOW ME YOURS!

This is my 62 BSA C15 single, a little sweetheart. She'll be at the show along with a couple of my other vintage bikes. Post pictures of what you'll be bringing to show or sell. The Possum Motorcycle Gathering attracts some world class collectors' bikes every year. This year will be even better.

NEW THIS YEAR.

Internationally recognized motorcycle artist Wayne Mauro will set up his display inside the red barn building near the entrance. In addition to selling his works, Wayne does commissions to memorialize your bikes in art. Spaces are still available inside for those like Wayne who need to stay out of any weather.

The Possum Motorcycle Gathering is only one month away! We welcome all makes of motorcycles and parts 25 years or older. Judging for the Concours D'Possum show 😀will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday. All the riverfront swap/camp sites are reserved as are all the sites inside the oval of the fairgrounds. There are still plenty of good sites available around the oval and on the fairgrounds. Our host hotel, the Clarion on Winnfield Dunn Parkway about 2 miles from the Gathering, still has rooms at a discount for attendees. Call 865-429-7600 for reservations. Just make sure you mention the Possum Gathering.

Ariels to Zundapps plus a lot in between, they'll all be at the Possum Vintage Motorcycle Gathering, May 10-11, the Sevier County Fairgrounds, Sevierville, Tenn. Swap meet/show sights are still available. (Sorry, riverfront sites are sold out.) Concours D'Possum show judging starts at 10 a.m. on the 11th. All bikes and parts 25 years or older are welcome.
