Seneca MO FFA Seneca MO FFA is an FFA chapter of around 60 high school and 80 junior high school members.

It is a required component of all high school students that take an agricultural education class. Seenca FFA teaches high school students leaderhsip, community service, career success, and basic agricultural education. Our members become productive citizens and leaders within the community with background knowledge in agriculture. Before FFA, many of our young people lack leadership skills, feel behind, and miss out on numerous youth opportunities. After graduting from the program, members feel capable of being leaders and wonder at the "magic" that occurred while they were in the program. Ultimately, Seneca FFA members become confident leaders and productive citizens in our community and the agriculture industry.

Jr. High FFA, sophomores and seniors participated in the 2026 UMC Field Day at the Mt. Vernon research farm in September. Students had the opportunity to feel the rumen of a cannulated cow. They learned that it doesn’t hurt the animal but allows researchers to better understand digestion and the effects of different feedstuffs. We also learned about drones and invasive species. In short, we’re always learning…and it can be fun.

Our homecoming theme, “Back to the Valley,” was a great way to usher in Seneca FFA’s 50th anniversary! We were blessed to have Mr. John Hobbs, the program’s first advisor, as well as charter members visit today. It’s an exciting time to be a Seneca FFA member: 50-year celebrations, brand new building next semester, awesome supporters, and amazing group of young people!!!

What an amazing day for our ag students and administration at Seneca High School!!! Missouri Biotechnology Association spent the day with us. Students watched as drones found hidden individuals with heat sensors and simulated spraying a field. Inside members created baby digital monsters as they played with DNA, made images micropipetting colored water, and explored a cell and tried to save individuals using virtual reality!!!
