YAY!!!! We are so excited for our sweet friend and awesome caterer, Christy Cushman!

The Como Inn and Event Venue are just a 10 minute drive from the former The Magnolia Room and offers the same amenities + a beautiful courtyard + on site catering and a six room inn!!!!

We will be on hand to help with any decorating needs or questions you may have, please feel free to contact us or Como Inn for more information!

Exciting News from the Como Inn!

We are thrilled to announce that Christy Cushman has purchased the beloved Como Inn and Event Venue!

Christy is widely known for her successful catering business, Christy's Creations, and she brings the same passion, creativity, and commitment to excellence to the Inn. While some minor renovations and upgrades are planned, rest assured—the beauty, history, and architectural integrity of the building will remain a top priority throughout the process.

The Inn will continue to operate as usual, and we are excited for what’s ahead!

We’re also pleased to welcome Jennifer Copeland owner of (the former) The Magnolia Room and Sweet Magnolia Events & Design, LLC, who will be available to assist with any upcoming event planning needs. Her talent and experience will be a valuable asset to all of our guests.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to James and Frances May for entrusting us with this treasured venue. We are honored to continue the legacy of love and hospitality they built—for the Inn and the Como community.

We have had several questions regarding the new fence around the slab where our business and RM Properties building once stood; to be clear, none of us had any involvement with that fence being constructed around the slab. We were notified once it was being put up.

As many of you have learned by this time, our facility was recently demolished. This was a completely unexpected event, and the decision to destroy the building was entirely out of our hands. It’s amazing how fast things can change. It’s scary when you have no control.

We never in a million years could have imagined this when we started this adventure earlier this year. Life is a roller coaster and if you know us, we are usually on the front row!

We are so thankful and truly humbled by the outpouring of love and support. Y’all have made these scary days a little brighter. When looking through the photos of what’s left, a cross caught my eye. How fitting with all the wreckage, He is still there. We know God has big plans for us and even though we can’t see the whole picture right now, this is all in His divine plan for us.

We are nervous, but excited to see what the future holds. We are still helping with event planning and still offer balloon arches. Don’t forget about our fantastic vendors for all your upcoming holiday parties - if you need a list, we will be glad to send it!

I know everyone has questions surrounding the beautiful Magnolia Room; and I truly wish we didn’t have to make this statement but we have no choice.

Demolition started on the building beside us Wednesday, during that process The Magnolia Room was severely damaged. We are going through our books today to get with everyone who has dates booked with us and start the process of sending refunds.

Please understand this was completely out of our control. We had no control over The Magnolia Room being destroyed. We ask for your patience and prayers while we navigate the few weeks and months.

We are so grateful to all of our vendors who have helped us make this venture possible. They know who they are and please don’t stop supporting their businesses. If you have something coming up and need recommendations for the best group of vendors around, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We could never express how truly grateful we are for all the love and support our community has given us. You all helped us take an idea and bring it to life. We appreciate every one of you who booked with us and allowed us to be a part of so many special days. ~ Jen & Tara ❤️
