Good morning! As I look back on this past week, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who played a part in helping us quickly transform the Ag Center from a rodeo event into a graduation venue for two high school graduations.
In less than 48 hours, countless people came together to prepare the facility, lay flooring, set up seating, coordinate parking and traffic, assist with transportation, and handle the many details required to make these ceremonies possible. None of this would have happened without your hard work and willingness to step in wherever needed.
I don't want to leave anyone out, but I would especially like to thank Keith Freeman for preparing & leveling the arena floor, Dr. Sondra Kiser Ramer Elementary School, McNairy Central Boys Basketball (THANK YOU), the staffs of Adamsville High School & McNairy Central High School, McNairy County Sheriff's Office, McNairy County Fire Department McNairy Co Gov and all employees, McNairy County School System , McNairy County Sheriff's Office& trustees , Crazy K Dozer, Precision Assembly, Tru-Savers Hardware, T&T (Justin Tull) McNairy County SROs, the City of Selmer Police Dept. Southern Snow Shaved Ice and Inflatables, Southwest, the Adamsville Boys Soccer Team (GREAT JOB), McNairy Central Football, Student volunteers, and everyone who helped with transportation, setup, cleanup and parking.
Special Thank you to Nicky-Jennifer Moore,SammySherry Kiser, Darby Drinkard, Wesley Rainey, Anna Moore, Colton Hanks, Grace Prince, Harvey Neal Smith, Tyler Stanfield, Amanda Griffin Ashcraft, Without Borders Nutrition Beth-Kenny Young Randa Hawkins, Blake & Channing Carroll, Westin Rankin,Addi Day, Betsy&Stacy Riley, Justin Tull, Justin-Katie Locke and so many others who volunteered their time and effort.
If you see any of these individuals out in the community, please take a moment to tell them thank you. We couldn't have done it without them.
Most importantly, thank you to all of the parents and students for your patience and understanding as this was the first time either McNairy Central High School or Adamsville High School has held graduation at the Ag Center. We appreciate the patience you showed as we worked through a new process together.
What stood out to me most throughout this process was watching our county come together and put our students first. Regardless of title, organization, school, or responsibility, everyone focused on one common goal, giving our graduates and their families a memorable celebration. That kind of teamwork and selflessness says a lot about the people of McNairy County.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓
