We will be sending the club to Cavalcade again. Entires are to be postmarked by June 1st so if you want in, let me (Chelsea) know asap. All of these events are open. You will pay your entry fee plus a $20 membership to the RUC. The dates are July 13-19th.

Queen Emma and Princess Korianne represented the Sedan Roundup Club in the Christmas Parade this evening.

We would like to invite the community to come spend the evening with our reining Queen and Princess along with our current contestants as they as they walk across the stage to model and answer questions. Each girl will also be auctioning off a “basket” and they would appreciate your support. It’s even in the air conditioned Gregg Theater! Starts at 7pm.

We are going to have an open ride night on Tuesday, 7/22. The arena will be open from 6:30 to dark. This is a good opportunity to get your horse in the arena before all the action this weekend.

The front page of this week’s Prairie Star (July 17) features the Chautauqua County Rodeo queen contest story, and a portion of it is in error. The six young women were named as queen contestants, however there are three queen contestants, one princess, plus the reigning queen and princess. We strive to publish accurate stories, especially when it features the youth in the area, however, this was unforeseen, and we regret the error. Here is the story with corrected information. Please share, and of course, enjoy the Chautauqua County Fair and Rodeo.

The newspaper article about the Queen and Princess contestants isn’t accurate. Olivia and Ainsley are not running this year so they are not selling tickets.

I, Chelsea, do have some and would be more than happy to meet up with anyone that would like to purchase advanced tickets for the rodeo. I will be in town all week the 21st-25th.
