Cottontail 6 & 12 Hour A fun reverse take on the hardest 12-hour out there (with bonus 6-hour option!). Each loop contains 436' of vertical gain, so expect to (have fun, yes!

Run as many or as few brutally beautiful 1.93 mile loops as you can!

11th annual event: SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025. Cottontail's run on a clockwise, 1.93-mile loop in Seattle's Carkeek Park, with an additional .54-mile loop open for the last hour (to give you more distance options). You're welcome to run as few or as many loops as you like, but here's what to expect on each loop: steep stairs, roll

ing trails, gorgeous vistas, loads of single-track, lots of up and lots of down. and) be challenged. Our races are also low-impact: You won’t find any paper products at Cottontail, and we support local businesses (as much aid as possible will come from the Seattle area). Speaking of aid, we'll have some of the best aid out there. We'll be partnering with local and like-minded businesses (full list coming soon!) to bring you awesome fuel as your legs run loop after epic loop, and we'll have great prizes to raffle off throughout the day, as well. We also provide re-usable mugs for you to use throughout the day, though if you have a favorite coffee mug, you're of course welcome to bring your own.

*Cottontail 6- & 12-Hour is organized and operated by Endless Trails, a 501(c)3 non-profit incorporated in Washington State, which means any donations made to Cottontail/Endless Trails are 100% tax-deductible.

2020 CANCELLATION NOTICE.

Hey, friends & would-be Cottontailers!

Due to concerns about the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and corresponding state-wide mandates regarding events (Seattle City Parks has rightfully pulled all permits), there will be no 2020 Cottontail 6- & 12-Hour.

If you're currently registered, you should have received an email from us with more details on Sunday (3/15).

Hey, Cottontailers! We know plenty of runners like (and/or need) to plan their annual race schedules in advance, so we wanted to give you all a heads up that the 5th! annual Cottontail 6- & 12-hour will be SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2018 (the same weekend as 2017's event, even though Easter comes early next year).

As per usual, you'll be able to register via UltraSignup the day after this weekend's Carkeek 12 Hour festivities (so Sunday, October 29th)—right here: https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=51288

Also as per usual, anyone signing up can expect a tough-but-wonderful day out on some gorgeously green spring trails alongside like-minded crazies, bunny ears and Easter eggs, tasty ultra fare, and awesome, locally-sourced prizes.
