The first half of 2020 was met with challenges. With the uncertainty around COVID-19 cases, we had to make the tough decision to cancel the C-ID Night Market that was scheduled for Saturday, September 12th. This follows our second event cancellation since Dragon Festival back in June.
The C-ID Night Market remained one of Seattle’s largest open-air market and provided festival attendees an opportunity to taste a variety of street food and sample popular staples by neighborhood restaurants. Our live dance battle groups, DJs, and beer garden drew in excited crowds for a night of fun in Seattle’s historic Chinatown-International District. From arts and crafts to thrilling performances, this event was held closely to the heart of many loyal attendees.
This has been especially tough on small businesses in the Chinatown-International District, which is home to hundreds of restaurants and retailers. The combination of a global health pandemic and much civil unrest, we recognize that supporting and uplifting these businesses are critical to the economic recovery of our neighborhood. Like every challenge, we will get through this difficult time in history, and we cannot wait to bring in more fun and safe activities to celebrate this community.
In the meantime, follow us on for news and updates, and watch out for a virtual Night Market event coming your way, very soon.
