Fremont Earth Day Festival Bikes, Bands & Sustainability in the center of the Universe And what about those with kids?

Earth Day is meant as a celebration of the Earth, and of each other’s efforts to improve the environment. Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood will serve as the center of the city’s Earth Day celebration, as Nectar Lounge hosts the inaugural Fremont Earth Day Festival. The event will feature local and national bands, speakers, plus a number of Eco friendly sponsor booths among other highlights. The even

t will feature 12 bands, a number of sponsor booths dedicated to bicycle commuting, and an organic offering from Fremont Brewing Company. It is an opportunity for bike commuters and those interested in bike commuting to celebrate its many benefits with some good music and beer, while also giving back to the community. We intend to auction cycling products during the festival via silent auction and a large portion of the money generated from the silent auction will be given to the Cascade Bicycle Club following the festival. Nectar will feature a ‘kids concert’ during the daytime hours to give the little one’s a chance to boogie while mom and dad enjoy some organic chocolate or beer and get inspired about bikes & the many benefits of sustainable living.

RECENTLY ANNOUNCED: Seattle underground hip-hop lyricist, Sadistik will be teaming with the three-piece live hip-hop band from Minneapolis, No Bird Sing for a special collaborative performance at Nectar Lounge Thursday 1/9/2014. Also performing are Seattle's own Graves 33 and THE NIGHTCAPS. Be sure to cop your tix early for this stellar showcase of northern UG hip hop!!
