Electric Tea Garden lost a shiny, bright star yesterday morning. Tippett, also known as Anton Bomb, was a brilliant ray of light and love that shined onto everything he touched.

His artistry encompassed every aspect of his life. The world was a stage and Tippett was always sure to leave a grand impression.

An early, fierce activist and defender of the LGBTQ+ community, Tippett would speak out and loud when others would not or could not. He bravely demanded inclusion and acceptance for all, at all times. He asked for what was right.

His heart is the spirit that beats in the core of the west coast and especially the Seattle dance music scene. His heart will beat on with us for many years to come.

You will be missed dear friend, dancer, artist, bartender, musician, wizard, master of ceremonies, champion and horned magical beast from the future.

Electric Tea Garden

Hint: Radio! Radio!

Two Words: Sound Lounge

Sounds Like: Bliss…

There have been many incarnations of Electric Tea Garden – ETG Seattle, The Space, OseaO Internet Radio, The Gallery of the Senses and even known simply by the only marker on the building, The Artificial Limb Factory. However you experienced the confluence of art, dance and music that was created in the unassuming, unlikely upper floor of a Capital Hill light industrial building, this institution of the Seattle - Capitol Hill Music and Culture Scene has NOT hung up its hat!

With a tasty redux in the works, we have been reminiscing about unforgettable moments in radio broadcasts, music sets, poetry slams, art shows, and performances by amazing people who have influenced the scene or gotten their start at Electric Tea Garden, calling us “home” since our beginnings in the Fall of 1997.

Did anyone see Reggie Watts play here back in the late 90s? And someone recently said that the official Laptop Battles started at ETG. Can that be true?!

While we wax poetic on the good old days and look forward to an announcement soon, we leave you with the sights and sounds of some Electric Tea Garden Live Events!!!
Please go to Electricteagarden.com to see the links below.

· Dave Pezzner – Official laptop battle in 2007 video edited by Gregory DElia
· Portland based Architechs - brought in by one of our favorite collaborators, Uniting Souls
· Gadi Mizrahi – January 2011 set on soundcloud
· Shree D Live – Live Tribal Breaks, amazing 9 minute drum video

You had your time, you had the power
You’ve yet to have your finest hour
Radio, Radio!
- Freddie Mercury of Queen

Looking forward to seeing you all very soon,

We will be keeping our pride colors up all month long in celebration of the Supreme Court Ruling on Same S*x Marriage! Yay!

As many of you already know, Electric Tea Garden is officially no longer in the space above the Artificial Limb Company (sad face). We wish the new landlord all the very best in his endeavors, and look forward to his contribution to our community.

In our search so far, we are coming across a few interesting spaces in unexpected places -- enough quirk for all you ETG lovers and lovers of the unusual out there!

We will continue to bring you our latest, our plans, and our launch date as soon as we know. Make sure you update your email on our list at electricteagarden.com.

We had an overwhelming response from the community on the Hill regarding our furniture give-away. After reluctantly chasing away a few Pride revelers who mistook our display as an "ETG pop-up street cafe" (not a bad idea, by the way), all of our well-loved furniture found their way to good homes and new identities -- some became breakfast tables, others became game tables, and some even became plant stands, so we hear!

LOVE YOU, MISS YOU and LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU VERY SOON!!!
