Boasting a veteran lineup, the North Texas grindcore marauders in TRIAGE put out a hell of a debut release in 2020, and at last they're following that up with a new record named "In the Trenches", which will be released by the Roman Numeral label. We're premiering a video for its decimating first single today (both the sights and the sounds are ferociously frenzied but also frightening), and Islander has also included some thoughts about the record as a whole , and some personal notes about the TRIAGE appearance at Northwest Terror Fest. If your calendar isn’t marked for Tuesday, July 28th, consider this a wake-up call.

The legendary Tokyo avant-garde masters, SIGH, are descending on the West Coast. They’re bringing Denver’s multi-instrumentalist quartet, Dreadnought, and the countdown is officially on. We told you before: it’s been 18 years since they last stepped foot here. That means you are exactly two months away from witnessing history or cementing another two decades of deep, profound regret.

If you thought the night couldn’t get any better–you’re wrong. You might remember local blackened melodic outfit, Undulation, from NWTF 2025? They have just been added to the bill to take your last statements before the evening’s total annihilation.

For the Fire in the Mountains crowd, this is your official civilization-re-entry buffer. You have plenty of time to survive the wilderness, but do not—under any circumstances—unpack your bags. Keep the grime, keep the energy, and bring it straight to the pit. It’s gonna get funky in here.

Every time we wrap up Northwest Terror Fest, we find ourselves saying the same thing: “The staff is perfect; it can’t possibly get better than this.” And yet, somehow, 2026 proved us wrong.

This year didn’t just meet the bar—it felt like a massive level up in every possible direction.

To Our Incredible Staff & Crew:
You are the engine room. You are the reason the machine actually moves. Every year, the crew sticks together, and every year, those bonds grow stronger. That internal growth and strength translated directly into the success of this weekend.

A massive thank you to the Neumos staff. Thank you for hosting our chaos, for your professionalism, and for working tirelessly alongside us to ensure everything ran like clockwork.

Thank you to the bands. From the local openers to the headliners, you gave us everything on those stages. You are the absolute heart of this festival.

Finally, to everyone who bought a ticket, stood in the pits, and supported the merch tables: THANK YOU. You make the atmosphere of Northwest Terror Fest what it is.

We’re already looking ahead to how we can top this year.
