Con gran admiración, agradecemos a los talentosos directores de cine 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐲 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐬 Á𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐡ó𝐧 de Lumina films, por permitirnos ser el festival que proyecta su documental 𝗫𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗢, 𝗹𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝘀 por primera vez en Estados Unidos, como parte de la programación del 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗗í𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

Su trabajo nos invita a mirar profundamente las raíces vivas de nuestras tradiciones, a reconocer la fuerza de las comunidades que mantienen encendida la llama de la memoria, y a celebrar la vida a través del arte.

🌼𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗧𝗟𝗜 / 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗔 𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗢🌼

La migración ha sido, a lo largo de la historia, el sustento de vida de muchos pueblos en el mundo. Hoy sigue siendo un motor que nos recuerda que el movimiento es parte esencial de la existencia.

Cada persona que cruza fronteras lo hace en busca de continuidad, de evolución, de una oportunidad de vida mejor. La migración es, también, el sustento del progreso de pueblos, ciudades y países enteros.

Este camino no está exento de dolor: recordamos con respeto a quienes partieron en la búsqueda de un futuro distinto, y honramos a quienes nos tendieron la mano, brindándonos apoyo y oportunidad para construir un lugar nuevo.

La vida y el movimiento se entrelazan en la experiencia migratoria: un viaje que no solo transforma destinos individuales, sino que fortalece la historia colectiva de la humanidad.

Migration has been, throughout history, the lifeline of many peoples around the world. Today, it remains a force that reminds us that movement is an essential part of existence.

Every person who crosses borders does so in search of continuity, growth, and the chance for a better life. Migration is also the foundation of progress for towns, cities, and entire nations.

This path is not without pain: we remember with respect those who departed in search of a different future, and we honor those who extended their hands, offering us support and opportunity to build a new home.

Life and movement intertwine in the migratory experience: a journey that not only transforms individual destinies but also strengthens the collective history of humanity.

MEXART: a space where Latino artists come together to create, connect, and celebrate their identities.

For Esmeralda, this project is not just about painting a mural, but about being seen and recognized, as an artist, as a Latina, and as part of a creative community.
Her mural invites everyone who passes by to feel calm, peace, and love, a reminder that public art belongs to all of us.

MEXART: un espacio donde artistas latinos se reúnen para crear, conectar y celebrar sus identidades.

Para Esmeralda, este proyecto no se trata solo de pintar un mural, sino de ser vista y reconocida, como artista, como latina y como parte de una comunidad creativa.

B Line nos cuenta su experiencia formando parte del proyecto de murales de MEXART, donde artistas mexicanos y méxicoamericanos transforman espacios urbanos en galerías vivas llenas de color, historia y pertenencia.

Aunque muchos apenas se conocieron hace unas semanas, la conexión fue instantánea, un sentido de familia nacido de experiencias compartidas, colaboración y apoyo mutuo.

Para B Line, este proyecto es una celebración del talento, la pasión y la creatividad que las comunidades latinas aportan al paisaje cultural.

B Line shares his experience being part of the MEXART mural project, where Mexican and Mexican-American artists transform urban spaces into living galleries filled with color, history, and a sense of belonging.

Even though many of the artists just met a few weeks ago, the connection was instant — full of support, collaboration, and creative energy that turned an underpass into a vibrant open-air gallery.

His mural celebrates the talent, passion, and expression that define Latino art.

A través de símbolos como las alas de mariposa y los colibríes, que representan la migración y la guía de nuestros ancestros, su obra nos invita a reflexionar sobre el sentido de pertenencia, el movimiento y el viaje compartido de la humanidad.
