Thank you so much to everyone who came out on Sunday for our inaugural festival! It was wonderful to have so many of the filmmakers there to take part in a discussion afterwards and to represent their work, and it was great to see the interest the community had in opening this dialogue about consent in film.

The filmmakers impressed us with their creative approaches to the topic, making the program rich with a variety of genres, stories, and styles. We look forward to curating another program of original shorts for next year!

If you're interested in seeing the festival grow, please leave a positive review and share the page. We plan to come back bigger and better for next year, and this would help us do that by reaching more people. Once again, thank you!

Meet our 5th and final judge, Megan Brotherton!

Writer-director-actress Megan Brotherton began directing while earning her MFA at the ART at Harvard University/Moscow Art Theatre. Her shorts Everybody Does It and Buttercup have earned awards and rave reviews, and Buttercup toured internationally as one of nine films selected to be a part of LUNAFest's program last year. In addition, she's directed a web series, a pilot, and several Funny or Die Originals as well as branded content.

We are proud to have Cuddle: the series, a Seattle-produced web series, as a part of our non-competition program! It will screen alongside other shorts that have already been released that show consent in a narrative story or address the topic of consent directly.

We will be screening episode 2, "Free Hugs."
Written by Adeline Colangelo, directed by John Helde, and produced by Constanze Villines. Starring Hope Shanthi.
