Our very own Cameron Head had the opportunity to attend the Annual NCPA Convention in Kansas City this past weekend! The conference was a great opportunity to connect with other pharmacy students and professionals, learn more about the future of independent pharmacy, and gain valuable insight into the opportunities within the profession.

A special thank you to Bri Morris and CPESN for helping make this experience possible. We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our members to grow, connect, and bring new ideas back to our chapter!

Today, NCPA had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Brittany Sanders and Dr. Jenny Wells from The Pharmacy at Wellington! They shared insight into the many unique services their pharmacy offers and discussed how these services allow pharmacists to make a greater impact on their patients and community. We also learned how we, as student pharmacists, can take these services and potentially implement them into our own practice in the future. We are very thankful to Dr. Sanders and Dr. Wells for taking the time to share their experiences and knowledge with our chapter!

Yesterday, NCPA had the opportunity to visit Southwest Middle School and speak with Mrs. Miles’ 5th grade class about community pharmacy and the many important roles pharmacists play in healthcare. The students had a great time participating in a hands-on pill counting activity, which gave them a glimpse into what pharmacists do every day.
