Harvest Moon Regatta® Monthly Update

The Harvest Moon Regatta® is getting closer, and now is the time to get your boat, crew, and plans locked in for another great run to Port Aransas!

Don’t Miss the Entry Deadline

The regular entry deadline is September 20 at 11:59 PM.

Miss that deadline and you can still enter through October 10 at 8:00 PM, but a $100 late entry fee will apply.

HMR Safety Day – September 26

Safety Day is one of the most important stops on the road to the Harvest Moon Regatta®.

Join us on Saturday, September 26 at 8:00 AM in the LYC Ballroom for HMR Safety Day and make sure you and your crew are prepared for the offshore trip to Port Aransas.

Then take your preparation one step further with our hands-on Man Overboard Clinic, led by Pete Pattullo.

The clinic takes place on your own boat with your own crew, giving everyone the opportunity to practice real-world man overboard procedures aboard the boat you’ll actually be sailing.

Clinic times are:

Saturday, September 26: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
Sunday, September 27: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

We are excited to announce that registration for the 39th annual 2026 Harvest Moon Regatta® is now open! Early registration, ending at 11:59 pm June 1st, is only $355. I want to share the following dates with you:

HMR 101 at Lakewood Yacht Club on July 11 @ 1:00 PM. If you have never sailed/skippered in the HMR, come and get the basics!

HMR Safety Day at Lakewood Yacht Club on September 26 from 8:00am - 12:00pm.

HMR Skipper's Meeting at Lakewood Yacht Club on October 16 @ 7:00pm.

Harvest Moon Regatta - first start at 2:00pm in front of the Galveston Pleasure Pier on October 22, 2026!

HMR Party and Awards in Port Aransas on October 24.
