We are excited to announce that registration for the 39th annual 2026 Harvest Moon Regatta® is now open! Early registration, ending at 11:59 pm June 1st, is only $355. Regular registration for $395 will end at 11:59 pm September 20th. Visit the official website https://harvestmoonregatta.com/ for all race information, documents and registration.

Party Class registration is also open! We are happy to continue this offer for power boaters who want to support HMR and join the fun in Port Aransas. Spots are limited so gather your crew and cruise to Port A!

Registration for $355 includes:
-Guaranteed slip at Port Aransas City Marina (note that slip fees are NOT included in registration and will need to be paid to Port Aransas City Marina directly). Docking committee will make reservation for the slip, on your behalf.
-Epic Dock Party featuring food trucks, rum and live music
-Race Giveaway bags
-Official Sponsor Tumblers
-Two authentic Mt. Gay hats

Howdy Harvest Moon Sailors, Cruisers and Volunteers!

I want to share the following dates with you:

HMR 101 at Lakewood Yacht Club on July 11 @ 1:00 PM. If you have never sailed/skippered in the HMR, come and get the basics!

HMR Safety Day at Lakewood Yacht Club on September 26 from 8:00am - 12:00pm.

HMR Skipper's Meeting at Lakewood Yacht Club on October 16 @ 7:00pm.

Harvest Moon Regatta - first start at 2:00pm in front of the Galveston Pleasure Pier on October 22, 2026!

HMR Party and Awards in Port Aransas on October 24.

The 2025 Harvest Moon Regatta Starts Today!

The race kicks off this afternoon at 2:00 PM from Galveston Bay — watch the fleet sail into the sunset with live race tracking here:

If you’re near the coast, one of the best spots to catch the start is from the Galveston Pleasure Pier, where you can see the colorful sails heading out into the Gulf.
