At Scranton Fringe, we believe every voice deserves a stage and every story deserves to be heard. That's not just something we say — it's why we do what we do, 365 days a year.

WVIA just published a beautiful piece ahead of Saturday's LGBTQ+ StorySlam — and the title says it all: "We're Human Too."
That's what this event is about. Not just a night out — a room full of real people telling their truth out loud. We are so grateful to WVIA for shining a light on it.

Scranton is having a moment. 🚂🎭

Tens of thousands of people are descending on the Electric City right now for the Big Boy Reunion at National Historic Site — two of the world's most legendary steam locomotives together in one place. And with World Cup fan zones coming to the city in July, the buzz around Scranton is only growing.

We love to see it. This is exactly the kind of city Scranton is — the kind that draws people in and makes them stay a little longer than they planned.

Something we've been working on and are very proud to share. 🖤🎭
Scranton Fringe is launching the NEPA Playwrights Incubator — a brand new program dedicated to supporting emerging playwrights right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This is our pilot year, and we could not be more excited about it.

Four writers from across the region will develop original scripts from an early draft all the way to a festival-ready staged reading at the 2026 Scranton Fringe Festival. They'll receive mentorship, consultation from guest artists, professional footage of their reading, and a stipend at the conclusion of the program.

And congratulations to our first-ever cohort — Denise M. Clark, Will Krisanda, Fenix Dietz, and Jess Mason. It was not an easy selection process, and to everyone who applied — thank you. The talent in this region never ceases to amaze us.

World Cup. NBA Finals. NASCAR rolling through the region. Plenty of reasons to be glued to a screen this weekend — we get it.
