We’re proud to that The Bog is an official a venue for the 2026 Electric City Music Conference!

For 13 years, The Bog has been part of the fabric of the ECMC. Long before conference badges, packed panels, and weekend hopper passes… there was The Bog. A legendary downtown Scranton institution that has always opened its doors to local musicians, artists, weirdos, punks, poets, and alternative culture with zero judgment and plenty of heavy pours.

Located at 341 Adams Ave. in downtown Scranton, The Bog is more than just a bar. It’s a home for the local music scene. A place where bartenders lend an ear, local bands fill the jukebox, and affordable drinks fuel unforgettable nights and lifelong friendships.

Some call it the best Irish pub in America. Others (like the organizer of the ECMC) literally have the building tattooed on their thigh. That’s loyalty. That’s appreciation. That’s what The Bog means to this community.

The Bog has supported the Electric City Music Conference since the very beginning, and we’re honored to continue that tradition in 2026 alongside their incredible owners and second-to-none staff.

Oh… and let’s not forget: Screaming Emo Night was born on The Bog stage during the 2017 ECMC as an afterparty for exhausted musicians who weren’t ready for the night to end.

From indie shows and poetry nights to comedy, craft beer, and community, The Bog remains one of the true cultural landmarks of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Welcome back to ECMC 2026, Bog. 🖤

This weekend, our friend Daniel Rosler had his car stolen. Along with it went his guitar, amp, and pedals — the tools of his craft, his livelihood, and a huge part of who he is. It’s a devastating loss for anyone, but especially for a musician right before Christmas.

I’ve known Dan for decades, and he’s genuinely one of the kindest, sweetest dudes I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He’s a great dad, a staple of our music community, and someone who shows up for others without hesitation. Just a few weeks ago, he and his band Esta Coda played at the surprise birthday party my wife threw for me — because that’s who Dan is: always willing to give, always willing to help.

I've personally seen Dan has play at countless benefit shows over the years at the drop of a hat. Now, he could use some support. I know the music community — and the whole Scranton arts community — can rally behind a genuinely good human.

If you’re able, please consider donating.
