🚂 FROM LONDON TO SCRANTON! 🇬🇧✈️❤️

You never know who you’re going to meet when you’re out and about in our great city! Just today, I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with two wonderful British girls in their 20s who flew in last week and are staying at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center

❤️ The coolest part? They actually saw one of our posts right here on Scranton Strong about the legendary Big Boy 4014 locomotive! They literally jumped on a plane to make sure they caught him before he headed off to Philadelphia. 🚆💨

They showed us all the gorgeous photos on their phones and couldn't stop raving about how much they are loving their visit to Scranton.The adventure isn't over for them yet, because they're staying in town to celebrate at the Scrantastic Spectacular tomorrow and catching the FIFA event on Saturday before flying back home to London! 🎆⚽

What a fantastic, passionate bunch of girls. Safe travels back across the pond, ladies! 👋🇬🇧

𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦! ⭐🇺🇸⭐🇺🇸⭐ The Lackawanna County Arts & Culture Department is seeking local artists to decorate 3D wooden stars for a public art display on Courthouse Square celebrating America250 during the Scrantastic Spectacular on Friday, July 3! Stars will be provided to the artist on Wednesday, May 20, and must be complete by Saturday, June 20. Suggested themes include diversity, agriculture, history, education and community spirit.
