It’s hard to believe it’s already been over a week since we gathered for the BEST Earthcraft yet.🤎

🙏 Thank you to everyone who poured your time, talent, hard work, trust, and excitement into making this gathering what it was. It truly takes a village, and this year that village showed up in a big way.

I’m sitting with so much gratitude and so many lessons from this year’s gathering.
Integration. Ways to create flow. So much beauty and celebration was abound. Heirloom works and memories crafted.

There are already ideas swirling for what’s next… but they’re still in the cocoon phase. For now we are taking this tender time to let the dust settle and tuck some away to rekindle next time we gather.

Hard to believe but we still haven’t shown you all of our classes! Here are four more we will deliver during Earthcraft Skillshare- happening in Scotts Michigan July 9th-12th.

Thursday July 9!

We have a lot of new friends coming so if you know the drill and see someone confused lend them a hand!

We open the gates at 1:00 pm on Thursday to give everyone plenty of time to get signed in and set up before the festivities begin.

We will start our evening with music provided by Wyatt and Shari Knapp- beautiful harmony-driven Americana and seriously the cutest couple. For those who don’t know- Wyatt is the president of the Michigan Flintknappers Association- we have many members hanging out in the knap pit to guide you through stone work all weekend!

We will follow this performance with opening circle- we start the fire for the weekend and introduce everyone you need to know to settle in to a village life weekend.

We will follow this with an instructor meet-and-greet. We do not do sign-ins at our event- every class is first-come. This is a chance for you to find out which classes have a limited size so you’ll want to be early to their tent to get a spot. Many classes are not limited and there are more than enough offerings for you to fill your cup- you might find you vibe with a teaching you didn’t suspect!

After this, self-taught archeologist and chert (knappable rock for making stone tools) expert Tom Talbot will debut his presentation “Mysteries in Stone.” We will learn about the oldest known ancient peoples campsite in Michigan, the Belson site, and how his discovery there led him on a lifelong journey of solving mysteries from the past left in stone.

This is just the beginning of a weekend of learning, sharing and discovery. We look forward to meeting, reuniting, singing and being with you on the beautiful farm at Tillers this year for Earthcraft 3!

Hi!

This year we will be hosting a silent auction supplied by teachers, staff and attendees. The proceeds from this auction create the fund to pay for our amazing teachers- so dig deep in your cabinets and cupboards and find some treasure!

Remember people will bring packed vehicles so keeping most items smaller than a toaster or able to fold or stash easy will help.

These items do not need to be made by you- cool stuff you wish to move forward in its journey is great!

We will also once again have a bandy treasures, our pay-what-you-want store stocked with clothing and household items. If you have a bag destined for the thrift store- save it for us! Items that are quality that can do well in an auction can be donated to the auction fund on arrival, and items you think someone might pay a buck for or might fill a gap someone missed (rain coat, coffee mug) can be brought to bandy treasures in the village.
