We wanted to provide a quick update regarding the 3rd Annual Rhodes Cancer Foundation Golf Outing on July 18.

As many of you know, Corey had an incredibly elaborate system for organizing this event. While we’re learning as we go and working hard to follow the system he created, we are committed to making this year’s outing a great success and continuing the tradition he loved so much.

*Sponsors and basket donations are being graciously accepted through June 26. This deadline will allow us enough time to finalize and print all event materials, banners, etc. We are still very happy to accept beyond this point, but want to make sure that we can properly recognize any contribution.

*Golfers: We are currently working through registrations and confirming team spots. If you have not yet been contacted by one of us, please send a message to the page or call/text Aleece 724-562-9507. We are asking that all team registration fees are paid by June 30. We currently have a waitlist, and this will give us enough time to fill any openings if needed.

The golf outing was always one of Corey’s favorite events of the year. The friendships, the laughter, the competition, and most importantly the opportunity to help others through the Foundation meant the world to him. Because of the support of this community, we fully intend to continue this event for years to come in his honor.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we navigate this year’s outing without him - he was the guiding light, and he had the system! Every sponsor, donor, golfer, volunteer, and supporter helps make this event possible, and we couldn’t do it without you.

We know Corey would be incredibly grateful, and so are we. 💚

I’m working on a very important project, and I’d love your help.

If you have any photos of or with Corey Rhodes, would you please send them to me through Messenger to the foundation page or email? They can be recent or from years ago, every memory matters.

Many beautiful stories have already been shared, and reading them has been so heartwarming. I also know that a lot of us are still processing everything and may not have the words right now. If you have a memory, story, or message you’d like to share publicly or privately, I would be so grateful to receive it.

Whether it’s something funny, meaningful, inspiring, or simply a moment you’ll never forget, I would love to hear it and include it for this project.

Last week at the Hillman Cancer Center at Mountain View, our food truck was Carmine’s Brick Oven Pizza, and it was delicious! What we expected to be another meaningful food truck day became something even more special.

To our surprise, Trooper Steve Limani arrived and generously covered the cost of every patient and staff meal served that day. In total, 95 slices of pizza were enjoyed by patients and staff in honor of Corey, with several additional meals purchased by members of the public.

It’s difficult to put into words what gestures like this mean right now. Corey always showed up for others, often quietly and without seeking recognition. To see others showing up for him in return has been both humbling and deeply touching.

Trooper Limani, thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for helping us continue Corey’s mission of bringing comfort and support to those facing cancer. In many ways, this extends to be support and comfort for our family, friends, and all who knew and loved Corey. This support is what keeps Corey’s legacy alive.

Today, we’re back at Hillman from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM with Savor My Flavor serving lunch. Savor My Flavor was one of our very first food trucks for Corey’s lunch program, and they’d become great friends as well as strong supporters and advocates for his plans. We are so thankful to Savor My Flavor for always believing in Corey, his vision, and the cause.

Several members of the Rhodes Cancer Foundation team will be there today, and we’d love to see you. Stop by, say hello, and grab a meal while supporting a cause that meant the world to Corey, and means so very much to all of us. 💚

“When he couldn’t do ordinary things anymore, he did extraordinary things.” - a quote by Corey’s brother, Gary, which just couldn’t be more true.

Over the last few days, we’ve been asked countless times how people can support the foundation and continue the work that meant so much to Corey.

This week’s food truck will be at the Hillman Cancer Center tomorrow - Wednesday, May 27 from approximately 11am–1pm, featuring Carmine’s Brick Oven Pizza.

This lunch program was something Corey was so incredibly passionate about, and continuing it means so much to all of us. If you’re able, we ask that you come out tomorrow to support — not only the truck, but the mission and heart behind it all. ❤️

This is the post we hoped and prayed we would never have to write.

Today, we lost the founder of Rhodes Cancer Foundation. Corey was a man who wore so many hats, touched countless lives, and meant so much to so many people.

Corey was a light… a bright, beautiful light that could never be dimmed. He brought joy, comfort, laughter, and strength to everyone around him, even during some of his own hardest times.

We are all incredibly blessed to have known Corey in so many different roles…as family, a friend, a leader, a teammate, an advocate, and a source of unwavering support, generosity, selflessness, and love.

In the days ahead, it would bring our family so much comfort to read your stories, memories, and moments with Corey. If he touched your life in any way, we hope you’ll share those memories with us.

These last couple weeks, we’ve had a great turnout with food trucks at the Hillman!

Chick fil A served 16 patients and 1 staff and then Lunch Lady on Wheels served 18 patients and 1 staff member!

Thank you to both for being amazing partners and for being there when we need you. The patients love lunch days and we couldn’t do it without you!
