The Angel of Schertz, Mrs. Zenobia Coverson, the founder and driving force behind the Forgotten Child has passed on. Our family has been blessed to have worked with her and we always admired her greatly.

Tonight we were fortunate to be part of a proclamation that the City of Schertz made in honor of Ms Zenobia Coverson and her work with the Forgotten Child. The Forgotten Child was started 30 years ago by Zenobia and although she is now limited by her oxygen machine and the sometimes use of the wheel chair, she will not quit on the children.

Special thanks to Mayor Michael Carpenter and City Secretary Brenda Dennis for making it happen.

Hello friends. Just a reminder that last year was our last year for the type of display you have come to expect from us. I will be putting some lights up this year but it will be much less than our Schertz area friends have come to expect. This morning a friend and former resident of Cibolo is coming to pick up many display items for his family display in Boerne. He is now putting up over a half a million lights and pushing for more! Their family has a huge yard and plenty of trees.

Today is the Twelfth Day of Christmas, Three Kings Day, and also known as Epiphany. Today is the day when the Three Kings arrived with their royal gifts for Baby Jesus.

Today is also the last day of lighting for this year. Tonight at 9 pm we will them down for the last time. As a reminder, this is also the last big year for us as we will be downsizing. Thank you for all your support over the years and the memories.

As part of the downsizing we will be selling a lot of items. The current theme cutouts as well as several others have already been sold but if you want a listing of the items we are selling (when it is ready) send a PM to the page with an email address. As always, we reserve the right to sell to whomever we want.

We were fortunate that the meterologists were a little off on the severity of the the storm last night. We made it through unscathed and that is great. Unfortunately, due to the continued warning last night we did make the decision to drop the second mega tree so now both 20ft trees are down. The rest of the display is through 9 pm on January 6th.

Due to the very dangerous winds forecast tonight into tomorrow, the second and final Mega Tree has been dropped.

FOR ALL TEXAS RESIDENTS NORTH OF I-10 AND EAST OF I-35/37/281, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO WEATHER WARNINGS TONIGHT. Forecasts in Texas are calling for large hail, tornados, and straight line winds (which can be worse than tornados). This storm is moving North East and will be moving into Arkansas and Tennessee on Thursday.
