Dance + Theory Based on our four founding principles: Attitude, Respect, Confidence and History (A.R.C.H).

Dance + Theory is a workshop that teaches not only different forms of African American inspired dance and movement, but theory and the history behind it. Through careful professionalism and integrity, we aim to help students develop the basics of these arts and allow them to build upon them in their future studies and practices in the field of dance.

Our program is about the enhancement and development of young girls ages 8-17. Through our theory portion we introduce our girls to various genres of dance, culture and education. We are a development program here to help mold and create future leaders who understand what being a part of a community means. The girls had the opportunity to do their final performance for Juneteenth at Central Park. A little back ground on some of these young ladies. Many of them started our program so shy and timid not able to use their voices or stand tall but over the past 15 weeks they have truly transformed into more confident and resilient young ladies. We couldn’t be more proud to see them come alive in what was most of their first performances ever. The pure joy that radiated from them as they danced was so remarkable to witness. “It takes a village to raise up a child”. We thank our village and our community for being supportive of the development of these young ladies. We can’t wait for what’s to come, this is just the beginning. Remember when you have a dream it is yours alone and it’s ok if no one sees it or understands it. Nothing great started out great it started from passion and love and grew greater because of that! We want to thank Ms. Tami for loving on these babies and giving them the right amount of what they needed to show out! Pure joy ❤️❤️❤️
