🌿 Why Gardeners Love Bee Balm 🌿
Also known as Bee Balm, this native perennial is one of the happiest plants you can add to a summer garden.

🐝 Pollinator Magnet
Bee balm draws in clouds of pollinators from early summer into fall, keeping the garden buzzing with life.

πŸ¦‹ Butterfly Favorite
Its shaggy, colorful blooms are irresistible to butterflies and hummingbirds.

🌸 Bold Cottage-Garden Color
Available in shades of scarlet, lavender, pink, and white, bee balm creates a cheerful, wildflower look.

🌿 Wonderful Fragrance
The leaves have a minty, herbal scent that releases when brushed or cut.

β˜€οΈ Thrives in Southern Summers
Heat tolerant and reliable, especially in sunny gardens with decent airflow.

βœ‚οΈ Excellent Cut Flower
Long stems and unusual blooms make beautiful additions to bouquets.

🌱 Spreads Naturally
Bee balm gently fills in garden spaces, creating lush pollinator patches over time.

πŸ«– Herbal & Historic Plant
Traditionally used in teas and herbal remedies by Indigenous peoples and early settlers.

πŸ› Helps Biodiversity
Supports beneficial insects that improve pollination and overall garden health.

🐝 What Types of Bees Does Bee Balm Attract?

Bee balm is especially loved by:

🐝 Bumblebees
Their large fuzzy bodies are perfect for pushing deep into the tubular flowers.

🐝 Honeybees
They gather nectar and pollen throughout the bloom season.

🐝 Carpenter Bees
The sturdy blooms easily support these larger native bees.

🐝 Sweat Bees
Tiny metallic green native bees often cover the blossoms in midsummer.

🐝 Mason Bees & Leafcutter Bees
Important native pollinators that help nearby vegetables and flowers produce more blooms and fruit.

🌼 A patch of bee balm turns the garden into a living pollinator cafΓ© β€” colorful, noisy, and full of motion all summer long.
