Before taking the court at the Savannah Challenger, Nishesh Basavareddy had already begun making his mark on the Grand Slam stage.

Basavareddy made his US Open main-draw debut in 2024, advancing to the second round and giving fans an early glimpse of the talent that continues to propel him up the rankings.

The following year, he made his Australian Open main-draw debut at just 19 years old, taking the opening set off Novak Djokovic before the 24-time Grand Slam champion rallied to win the match.

In 2026, Basavareddy added another standout moment to his Grand Slam journey at Roland-Garros, earning his first Grand Slam main-draw victory and stunning then-World No. 7 Taylor Fritz.

Most recently, Basavareddy returned to the US Open in 2026, once again advancing to the second round and continuing to prove he belongs on tennis' biggest stages.

From breakthrough performances at the majors to climbing the professional ranks, Nishesh's journey is just getting started. We're excited to follow his continued rise and proud to have him as part of the Savannah Challenger story. 🔥🎾
