The Sauk Centre Festival of the Arts is growing in a new direction this year!
In the past, the festival focused mainly on chalk art from artists around the country, centered at Sinclair Lewis Park. This year, we’re expanding the celebration into downtown Sauk Centre by highlighting local artists through window mural painting on Main Street and downtown Sinclair Lewis Avenue.
Instead of art happening in just one place, we’re turning more of the town into part of the festival experience. Local artists will be paired with participating businesses to create painted window murals, painted live during the festival, bringing color, creativity, and our love for Sauk Centre energy right to our downtown storefronts.
We're also adding more art: Art demonstrations, interactive moments, live art challenges, a literary walk, storytelling, more music, and photo opportunities.
Want to be part of it? There are so many ways to get involved! You can sign up to volunteer, become a downtown business Window Host, paint as a Window Muralist, sponsor the festival or sponsor an artist, or join us as an art vendor and sell your work to festival visitors.
Join us August 29th & 30th as downtown Sauk Centre and Sinclair Lewis Park come alive with art, music, vendors, performances, window murals, and community celebration.
